About GoHaode
GoHaode (Go好的, hǎo de: "OK, sure") is a free, offline-first survival kit for foreign visitors to China. It is made by the GateHop team, an independent travel tools team, and is not affiliated with any government, airline or payment company.
What it does, and what it doesn't
- Checks whether your passport can enter China visa-free, on 240-hour transit or via Hainan.
- Shows big, clear Chinese cards with pinyin to taxi drivers, waiters, hotel staff and doctors, with reply cards they can tap.
- Explains payments, transport, food, culture and emergency numbers, and works with no signal once opened.
- It does not sell bookings, take payments, provide maps or VPNs, or run an online AI. It has no account and no ads.
How we check facts
- Visa rules come only from official sources: the National Immigration Administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chinese embassies. Every visa page lists the notices it relies on.
- Show-cards are written in plain, polite Mandarin for the person reading them, with pinyin and a translation for you.
- Border officers make the final decision on entry. Treat GoHaode as guidance and check the official notice before you fly.
Last checked
- Visa rules: 25 October 2026
- Show-cards: 30 October 2026
